Rebuilding in the open · Est. 2026

The hub around community and connection. Built out of a close, not a launch.

TYSI — The Yoke Social Initiative — is the hub I should have built first. Yoke Social Table closed in 2025. We’re rebuilding in the open. Mistakes and failure are part of the journey, and this time we’re writing the story while we live it.

Three concepts under the hub: Tabled · Yoke Social Table · AW TYSI.

The story so far

Mistakes and failure are part of the work. We just stopped hiding them.

TYSI was built out of a close, not a launch. Yoke Social Table — the restaurant chapter — opened in Kokomo in 2022, expanded to Indianapolis in 2024, and shut its doors in 2025. The lesson wasn't the recipe. It was the room. TYSI is what comes next: the hub around community and connection, where the work is fixed in public and the next chapter is written out loud.

  1. 012022

    Kokomo

First Yoke kitchen. Real food, real people, real work. The proof that community can carry a restaurant.

  2. 022024

    Indianapolis

Yoke at The Garage Food Hall. Bigger room, faster pace. We expanded the kitchen before we built the hub.

  3. 032025

    The close

Yoke shut its doors. Hard, public, expensive. The food was right. The room wasn't. The lesson was that scale without community is just overhead.

  4. 042026

    TYSI

The hub that should have come first. Community, connection, and the work back on the table — three concepts written out loud, in real time.

The point of writing this down

We’re writing our story. We’re fixing what didn’t work. We’re challenging ourselves to recreate, push, and be better — out loud, with the people who showed up the first time and stayed for the second.

The pillars

Four things every concept inherits from the parent.

01

Community before scale

Every concept starts with the people in the room, not the addressable market. The room is the strategy. The room is the brand. The room is the rebuild.

02

Failure is part of the journey

Yoke closed. The work didn't. Mistakes show you the road. We tell the truth about ours — what we expanded too fast, what we missed, what we'd do differently with the next dollar.

03

Rebuild in the open

TYSI is being written in real time. The wins, the losses, the invoices, the lessons — the page is the project. No final version. No clean arrival. Just the long middle, in writing.

04

Push to recreate

The work isn't 'do better next time.' It's recreate, fix, challenge, do it again — out loud, with the people who showed up for the first try and stayed for the second.

From the founder

Vision is the strategy.

Creativity is the language.

Culture is the currency.

I'm Anthony. I started Yoke Social Table in 2022, expanded to Indianapolis in 2024, and closed it in 2025. The food was right. The room wasn't. TYSI is the hub I should have built first — community before scale, connection before storefront. We're rebuilding. We're writing the story while we live it. We're not photographing the arrival; we're documenting the long middle.

FAQ

The questions I get asked first.

What happened to Yoke Social Table?

Yoke opened in Kokomo in 2022 and Indianapolis in 2024. We closed in 2025 because we expanded the kitchen before we built the hub. The food was right. The room wasn't. TYSI is the lesson, in writing.

Is Yoke coming back?

Yes — when the table is right. Yoke Social Table is on the second-chance list. We're not in a rush to reopen poorly. The site stays as the work in progress until the doors are open again.

What does 'rebuild in the open' mean?

It means writing the story honestly: what worked, what failed, what's getting fixed, what's coming next. TYSI publishes the work in progress instead of hiding it behind a polished launch.

What is TYSI, exactly?

The hub around community and connection. The parent brand for three concepts founded by Anthony Walker Jr. — Tabled (software for local business), Yoke Social Table (restaurant, rebuilding), and AW TYSI (strategy and creative practice). Same founder, same through-line, three different surfaces.

Who is this for?

People in the long middle of building something. Operators. Founders. Creatives. People who already know the brochure version is the boring one and want the truer story.

How do I get involved?

Email hello@tysi.net. The hub runs on the people who show up to it.

Show up to the hub

The hub runs on the people who show up to it.

We’re rebuilding in the open. Tell me what you’re building, what you’re fixing, what you almost gave up on. The hub talks back. For surface-specific work, the individual concept sites are the cleanest path.
